When Does Strap
Tooling Cost Apply?
Most standard strap projects can be developed with existing structures. However, special materials, uncommon strap shapes, custom textures, or low-volume orders may require additional tooling or development costs.
Leather Straps
One full leather sheet can usually produce around 800-1,000 pcs of watch straps. For orders around 500-1,000 pcs, leather material and standard cutting costs are normally included in the unit price.
Extra Cost May Apply
For lower quantities, uncommon strap structures, custom edge shapes, or non-standard designs, a dedicated leather cutting die may be required.

Stainless Steel Bracelets
Stainless steel bracelets usually require dedicated structural tooling when the bracelet links, clasp construction, end links, or overall shape are fully custom.

Nylon / NATO Straps
Standard solid-colour NATO, Perlon, or canvas straps usually do not require tooling. Additional development costs may apply for custom woven patterns, jacquard logos, stripe layouts, or branded woven labels.

Custom weaving setup, stripe development, or woven label production is normally quoted according to artwork and quantity.

Standard colours generally do not require tooling fees.
Final tooling and development costs depend on the strap structure, material, quantity, and whether existing tooling or standard production methods can be used. All development costs will be confirmed clearly before sampling or production begins.
